Landschap Overijssel, Staatsbosbeheer, Ravon, Natuurmonumenten en diverse particulieren. Hierbij worden o.a. de heidevelden in de Haardennen verbonden met die van het Staphorsterbos. Tussen de beide gebieden is nog veel particulier bezit. Landschap Overijssel kon een perceel akkerland kopen\u00a0gelegen tussen\u00a0Nieuwe Dijk en Westerhuizingerweg. De bovenlaag is afgegraven en afgevoerd. \u00a0Er werden poelen gegraven. Daarna mocht de natuur haar gang gaan. Echter, heidezaad was in dit voormalig akkerland niet meer aanwezig. Dus werd er heideplagsel uit de omgeving hier verstrooit.\u00a0Resultaat: een prachtig stukje nieuwe natuur waar dop- en struikheide welig tiert. De struikheide staat zelfs in natte stukken. Maar er is ook veel opslag van diverse boompjes en struiken. Vooral berk en diverse wilgsoorten doen het goed.
