De groep bestond uit 7 leden van de natuurwerkgroep en 5 leerlingen van het voortgezet onderwijs ivm\u00a0het project maatschappelijke stage. De werklocatie was de zuidhelling van de Lemelerberg, in eigendom van het Landschap Overijssel. Ter plekke werden we ontvangen door de beheerder van het terrein Hans Dijkstra met koffie en cake. Na uitleg over de te verrichten werkzaamheden werden we, gewapend met takkenscharen en zagen,\u00a0naar de werkplek geleid.\u00a0Het doel was om de heide te zuiveren\/schonen van opslag van de grove den.\u00a0Er waren flinke bomen bij dus moest er ook flink gezaagd worden. De stagieres hebben hierin een groot aandeel gehad. Tijdens de werkzaanheden werden enkele houtsnippen, als doortrekkers uit het noorden waargenomen. Als traditie bestond de lunch uit erwtensoep en roggebrood met spek of vegetarische soep Na de lunch hebben we nog goed een half uur doorgewerkt. Bij de afsluiting om 14.00 uur bedankte Hans ons voor de inzet en gaf ons een presentje mee in de vorm van een kunststof fietszadelhoes.
